    Description

You are bidding on a very rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.
It depicts a great Pyrenees mother dog who is raising her young in the hollow of a tree. She bares her teeth at a man ("Milford" ) who has come to help. Nice old rescue print.
The caption reads:  Milford et les chiens Pyrenees
which roughly translates to:  Milford and the Great Pyrenees dogs
It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture area is about
8.5 x 5.5 inches (21.5 x 14 cm), with a French caption below and text above it. The text could easily be trimmed before framing, or hidden under a window mat.
The page is in excellent condition for its age.
There is text/photos on the back of the print.
See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
