Marx & Gutherz Decorative Water Pitcher w/ Gold Flowers & Leaves - Ivory & White
This is a beautiful water pitcher made by Marx & Gutherz of Carlsbad Austria. The pitcher is a very utilitarian shape but has a decorators design with the gold floral pattern and leaf motif. The outside has an ivory color that sets the gold off wonderfully. Inside the pitcher is a creamy milk white. The gold is in excellent condition everywhere except on the rim where it is mostly worn. The pitcher stands 9 1/4" tall. It has a tree trunk handle with the gold leaf design as well. The flowers can only be found on the front of the pitcher, the back is a branch with one flower bud and stems and leaves. The design is #1904-53. Please view the photos for a better description.
