Vintage National rebuild coil tattoo machine in excellent used condition. This beauty runs great and it’s truly 1 of a kind. I bought this off Don Parrets apprentice( I think that’s his name) who was given this machine by Him years ago in the early 2000s. Don P had a shop in Springfield Missouri called renaissance ink. It’s a national bully that was rebuilt by Joe Mcveigh in the 90s or possibly early 2000. The National frame and coils are from the 90s, the 10 wrap Dennis Dwyer coils are also from the 90s. After inspecting it more I figured the front binding post, A bar, and springs weren’t original so I added some different parts that made more sense ( a bar and front post didn’t fit the frame well) Quick specs- hammered nickel finish ( pretty sure that’s what that is, Could be raw hammered iron) with a light oil temper and protective wax just for extra rust resistance. Brass binding posts og knurled rear and added front, og copper contact screw and added nickel brass maybe silver contact screw not sure, added vintage steel Armature bar ( could be iron), vintage Eikon springs 18g front and 16 rear, custom og 10 wrap national coils w/ larger diameter core on the rear coil, and vintage Dwyer 10 wrap coils. Also the vise screw and 2 socket head screws were added. It’s running at around 88 cps loaded with a 50% duty cycle. Flaws- just some wear on the coils prism wrap, light scratch or 2 on the front binding post and A bar, everything’s in great shape really only minor stuff.
